I created a Kickstarter campaign to get backing and support to self publish my first novel and with a lot of support from friends, family and others who found us through Kickstarter and word of mouth, we hit the target.

Here’s what we posted shortly after the deadline.

Thank you all so much for your support throughout this process. It has been pretty tough and a lot of hard work, but that’s like most things in life worth having right? I didn’t realise the majority of projects on Kickstarter don’t hit their funding target, so it’s an especially sweet success.

The great thing is this book is now going to get out of the bottom drawer and into the hands of at least 45 people. It will also afford me the opportunity to get it out to some key bloggers and book reviewers to hopefully get it to a wider audience. I’m going to have great joy adding all your names to the Acknowledgements page.

I hope lots of you can come along to the launch party and I will be confirming the date of that later this week. It is looking like it might be slightly later in December in order to give us enough time to organise print and framing etc but I will be ensuring all books and prints are with you in time for Christmas either by post or by hand. I will also be sending out a short survey this week to confirm things like addresses, names for the acknowledgements page and so on.

Thanks once more!
